New Era "Hang-a-Wish"
We invite you to a New Era "Hang-a-Wish" celebration that will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28th at: Fred Lee Park Pavilion # 1, 895 Emerson Dr. NE Palm Bay, FL 32907. Park Phone:(321) 952-3443. You may anonymously place a wish for your life in the coming years on a park tree, so that nature will read it and, hopefully, help you to achieve your wish. It is rarely possible to achieve our wishes without the nurture of nature and of our neighbors, family, friends and colleagues - so invite them along as well.
Please bring lawn chairs, water/soft drinks and food for both yourself and whoever else will be in your company.
Several musicians will be on hand to lighten your load and bring you joy.
We urge you to arrange a New Era celebration anywhere in the world: on your street, in your apartment block, on your farm, or in your community. so that you can get to know your neighbors.
Our Vision
Every day we all hope that our lives will be better. Many of us have had good fortune. Many of us have had anything from imperfect to ghastly fortune; whether it be financial, health, social, work, family, friends, animals, vacations going wrong, and so many other misfortunes that might afflict us. Myriad adversities are beyond our control, yet we carry on.
Love and kindness are the essence of communities living lives filled with joy, community and attainment. Love and kindness are the basis upon which humankind has survived adversities throughout the ages. Love and kindness are the means whereby we communicate from ourselves to the world around us that we are open to friendship, service, generosity, curiosity and interest.
Frequently it is our neighbors and friends who offer a helping hand, reminding us that no matter what befalls us, we can always find a way to bring comfort and joy into the lives of others less fortunate. These instances remind us that living our lives with kindness and dignity is not difficult and that every life has a nobility that is intrinsic unto itself, as well as unto each and every living organism.
As nations, we rely upon the love, kindness, expertise, talents, and professionalism of each other to live our lives with more ease and comfort than is possible in most places across this beautiful planet Earth. We will continue to rely upon each other.
The late, great poet and cleric, John Donne (1572-1631), wrote in his famous "Meditation 17" from "Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions", from which this excerpt is remembered throughout the ages, and it is as relevant today as it was when Donne wrote it:
No man is an island,
entire of itself;
every man is a piece of the continent,
a part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less,
as well as if a promontory were.
as well as if a manor of thy friend's
or of thine own were.
Any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind;
and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
it tolls for thee.
We thank you, and we welcome you enthusiastically and warmly.
